Assistant Coach, Rilea Stober.
Bio:
Rilea's water polo career began in Milford, Ohio where she played for
Milford High. By the time she graduated in 2000, she had already
amassed a very impressive water polo resume. Some of Rilea's High
School accomplishments are Most-Improved Player, Most-Valuable Player,
making the Third and First All-State teams over two years, being
recognized by her coach with the Coach's Award and finally, being
recognized nationally as a First Team All-American selection after her
senior year of play.
Rilea's collegiate water polo career began at Washington and Jefferson
College (Washington, Pennsylvania), where she played for one
year. In that year, she was the only non-Division-1 athlete to
sport All-Conference team honors, was named the team Most-Valuable
player and was selected as a Third team All-American. She then
took her game to the University of Hawai'i.
Rilea
graduated from the University of Hawai'i in 2004, where she played
Division-1 water polo for
four years and graduated with a degree in Business Marketing.
Rilea's hard work received her the Coaches' Award her senior
year. Her team was a
member of the most competitive Division-1 conference in the nation, the
Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) conference, competing with
consistant top 5 teams such as Stanford, UCLA and USC.
Rilea joins us with four years coaching experience for the River City
Club team under her belt. This 2006 season is her second season
with the 'Cats.
During the day, you can find Rilea working hard for the Kane County
Cougars. She
cruises around town in a pimped out mobile and has a pet frog and fish,
named
Froggy and Rambo.
