October 5, 2005: Tryouts for Wildkatz 2005-06! 8-11pm at the Hillel Center. Audition material provided, so don't worry about preparing anything. All instruments welcome, any NU-affiliated person is welcome, no previous klezmer experience required. Sight-reading a must, ability to play by ear a plus Rehearsals are once a week in Hillel's basement. Email raysh@northwestern.edu with any questions.

February 7, 2004: Capping a week of performances, we played at Caribou Coffee up in Glenview. The audience seemed appreciative, so I guess we did pretty well. Minus some snafus with microphones and the like.

February 5, 2004: To kick off the Jewish Theatre Ensemble's production of Cabaret, we played a short set at Bar Night (specially nightclub themed) at the Fiedler Hillel Center. Our more jazzy/tangoish pieces fit perfectly with the atmosphere.

January 31, 2004: The WildKatz did an amazing set at Cafe Express, in downtown Evanston. The chemistry at the gig was great, and we sounded wonderful (in my completely unbiased opinion).

June 29, 2003: The website is finished, standards compliant, and full of CSS goodness. Browser compatibility (especially on sizing and placement) is still an issue, but if you're using Internet Exploiter, I feel little remorse. We're aiming for it to work in Mozilla (of course) Netscape 6/7 (if you have 4.xx, upgrade finally!), IE 6, and Opera 7.

June 1, 2003: This is the planned date of our next gig. We're performing at the Fielder Hillel Center at Northwestern, along with the Jewish a capella group ShireiNU and a theater group. We'll be there at 3 pm for the gig... hope you all can come. The Hillel is at 629 Foster Avenue, just west of Sheridan Rd, and directly across from the Foster-Walker Complex.
