The Taiwanese American Students Club (TASC) was informally established in 1992, and the Associated Student Government recognized TASC as a student organization in January of 1994. Since then, TASC has grown from 8 members to an Associated Student Government A-status group with a mailing list that reaches more than 300 students. Our members include students of all backgrounds, Asians and non-Asians a like.
TASC was founded to provide a forum in which Taiwanese history, culture and current events could be openly celebrated and shared among all Asian Americans and the NU community at large. Because Taiwanese history is often overlooked or misunderstood, and Taiwan is usually just marginalized as a former colony of Japan or China, the founders of TASC hoped to create a community in which the Taiwanese culture could be discussed in its own light. |

WEBSITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
10/23/2008
Sorry about the blatant lack of updates over the last...4 months. I promise this is the last week without updates and I'll get on it this weekend. For now, please check out our October newsletter with the link posted above. Just an outline for the upcoming changes: Google hosted site to allow multiple users to post on the news, better integration of pictures and spreadsheets, and updates for this years' upcoming events.

README
The new TASC website is launched and over the next few weeks, I will be moving stuff from the old site to this new more eye-friendly look.
Stay tuned for updates and more content! Currently, most of the links from this site will lead to pages done using the old TASC website format.
To navigate BACK to this page, click on the TASC seal on the top left corner of the page.
If you spot any bugs or glaring errors, please be kind with the criticism and send a email to nu.tasc@gmail.com. Thanks!
