internships Program in Environmental Policy and Culture has Somme Internships: At 3 adjacent forest preserves, Somme Prairie Nature Preserve, Somme Prairie Grove, and Somme Woods, each internship requires about 10 hours per week, additional readings, and a paper for course credit. The internships may combine indoor and outdoor work, and may include other assignments, such as mapping trails and restoring shrubland, depending on the student's interests and Somme priorities. The Environmental Science Program at NU supplies a long list of various internships offered, indcluding positions in governmental, non-profit, and educational institutions.
