News On Friday, January 16th, Professor Roel Snieder from the Colorado School of Mines gave an excellent presentation at Northwestern entitled, “The Global Energy Challenge.” In it, he highlighted key data about current energy supply and demand, the feasibility of different sources of energy, the myths that tend to convince people that finding alternative energy sources is not an immediate concern, and what we can do as students and citizens to ensure that we meet our energy demands without great cost to society or the environment. His full presentation is available online here, with recommendations on how to approach presenting on the topic yourself. Information on the presentation as well as the presentation itself can be found here.
He also has a recommended resources page that is definitely worth checking out:

It links to resources not only on energy but on how to inform others about it.
