Students for Ecological and Environmental Development
Northwestern University's environmental activism/service organization

SEED's mission is to pioneer, teach, and model environmental stewardship so as to inspire our future leaders to act in ways that protect and sustain our planet.

Welcome to SEED Web!

SEED exists to affect the state of the environment and to support progressive environmental movements at Northwestern. SEED's activities include large-scale event programming such as speakers, concerts and debates. Service is also important to SEED. Members participate in campus recycling improvement efforts, prairie restoration work, and on-campus environmental education. SEED is always eager to hear new ideas and take on new projects, and encourages anyone with an interest in the environment to join.

SEED promotes concern for the planet in community decisions and in daily life, through both education and action. SEED is a student organization that exists to educate, research, and do service work to affect the state of the environment and to support progressive environmental movements and directions.

SEED is an A-status student group as recognized by the Associated Student Government.
SEED is also a member of the Progressive Alliance.
