This fall's Women's Regatta in Madison, Wisconsin was especially exciting for the women of NUST.  Along with the beautiful weather and the impressive competition, we secured two births and were able to send a large percentage of our great new freshmen class. The freshmen duo of Sarah Hughes and Frankie Ferrero stunned ever our own team, as they held their own placing 6th in B division.  Additionally, many freshmen women were able to participate in their first-ever college regatta.  Freshmen Hannah Schriesheim, Hannah Dean and Shannon Olivia-O'neill showed off their newly-acquired sailing skills, reassuring the older women that we would be leaving the team in competent hands.  With the help of our new wonderful freshman class, NUST placed second overall, beating every represented school except for the University of Wisconsin.  Erin Miller, Meredith Laitos, Teresa Fox, Christine Grace Heckman, Alison Lehner and Liz Hines represented the upperclass NUST women and were thrilled with the results.  With such a strong showing at the Fall Women's Regatta, our women's team is hopeful that spring will bring us great success.  We've got our goals set high as we begin our work to earn a spot at Nationals.  Wish us luck!
