Welcome to the Northwestern Running Club homepage!

Who are we?

We are an informal group of male and female long-distance runners who meet daily to run.

Who can join the club?

Anyone! All students and faculty, regardless of ability are encouraged to come out.

How fast and far do we go?

Depending on how many people show for a given meeting, there could be multiple groups doing different workouts at different paces. Generally we run between 5-8 miles per day.

Do we do races?

Our mission is to provide casual training opportunities, as well as competitive outlets for more serious runners. Individual club members often run local road races in Evanston and Chicago, and there are usually several members that will complete the Chicago Marathon. The club will form a team and enter races through the National Intercollegiate Running Club Association if there is enough group interest.

MEETING TIMES:

Every weekday at 4pm at SPAC during the regular school year. Running club begins in Fall Quarter and runs through the end of Spring Quarter, and training is outside, regardless of temperature or weather. Not all of us can come every day at 4pm, but we encourage everyone to come to run as often as they can.
