Activities We hold regular meetings, invite Slavic and History professors to speak to the club, organize campus wide speeches, throw parties, sponsor Russian dinners for the campus, organize trips to Russian cultural events in the area and to Russian stores, go to Russian restaurants, try to make contact with other Russian organizations in the area, watch Russian movies and cartoons...and the list goes on. More specifically, our activities can be separated into three main areas: cultural, social, and philanthropy.
Membership The club is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who have an interest in Russian culture or language; you do not have to speak Russian, as many of our meetings happen in English anyway. If you have any interest, we encourage you to come to a meeting and see how things go. Membership in the club does not require any significant time on the members' part, though of course, the bigger the turn-out for events, the more fun they are. There are, however, opportunities to get involved and join the exec board if you are interested. How To Join To sign-up for the list-serv, e-mail Polina at PolinaLigai2012@u.northwestern.edu with your full first and last name and your preferred e-mail address.
