Buenito Juarez Project

More than ten years ago, a Rotarian established a school in Guatemala City to provide youth from low-income households the change at a strong education. The school provides exemplary education in English, and to this day the school runs entirely on donations.

Northwestern Rotaract had the opportunity to visit the Benito Juarez School in Spring of 2009 and the students left a mark on our hearts. They were bright, vivacious, intelligent, and we would love to give back to them.

They are looking for physics and chemistry lab equipment, bells with timers for class periods, photography equipment, books on various subjects, infirmary equipment, eletrcial appliances for cooking lessons, tools for a workshop, computers, clocks, and anything else that could provide the best learning environment for these students.

If you would like to join us in our efforts, please contact our International Service Chair, Lauren Coffaro.
