February 11th - March 10
Saturdays 12:30pm - 2:00pm
Northwestern University Evanston Campus
Enrollment Fee: $20

What does it mean to be a young person in our world? What unique stories do you have to offer? How do we use our voices to speak up for what is important to us? In this storytelling workshop, we will explore different ways to use the voice, body, and art to tell a story. On our last day, family and friends are invited to a final sharing where students will perform their stories. Afterward, students will attend a performance of Purple Crayon Players' Winter Mainstage, Bocón!, a bilingual play about a young boy who loses his voice in the midst of civil war.

Icludes story sharing for parents FREE admission to Sat. March 10 performance of Bocón! at Northwestern University!

"My daughter loved the workshops. It was creative, fun and she learned a lot. I noticed that she understood and was a lot more thrilled about the end performance as a result of having attended the workshops... The program and end play were fantastic. I look forward to signing my daughter up for future workshops. The play was a nice and inexpensive way for us to introduce the theater to our daughter."
