President's Introduction PARC Executive Board Fellows 09-10 Recap
Check out some of our testimonials from our current residents!
Like most PARC residents, this residential college wasn't my first choice. Upon learning that I was assigned to live here, I was a bit apprehensive. I was worried that all of the activities would center around politics, and that I would feel out of place in a group of only political science majors. I soon found that I was quite wrong. PARC provides a wide range of events and activities, and the students who live here are as diverse a group as can be found in any other dorm on campus. Moreover, PARC's small size and suite-style room arrangement really fosters a sense of community. I feel like everyone here knows each other, and many of the first friends I made at NU were through PARC. - Ewain Gwynne
Living in PARC has been one of the defining experiences in making my first year at Northwestern absolutely amazing. I love the smaller size of our dorm, which makes socializing and getting to know people easier, as well as all the social events that provide a nice study break, some good food, and a chance to talk with people in the dorm. I love the suite style living, which makes home feel like more than just your dorm room. I love the diversity, the location, the people, the atmosphere, the cleaning staff, the security guard…basically, I just LOVE PARC! - Kaley Stroup
I absolutely loved living in PARC this year. Events like the PARC formal, C&C, and munchies helped me meet so many amazing people. I love that I can go to the PARC dinning room within Allison hall and automatically see a bunch of people I know, no matter what meal or time of day. Because I put PARC on my list, I was able to get a single as a freshman, which gave me the best of both worlds. I could socialize with other people in the suite, but then go to my room to study or sleep. I would definitely recommend PARC if you want to live on south campus. - Lauren Linzmeier
PARC is seriously the best thing that has happened to me at Northwestern. Had I not lived here, I would not have met any of the great people I've met that have gotten me involved in so many different things around campus. Suite style living is the only way to be; you can study or just hang out in the suite and there will always be somebody walking by to talk to. I've made some of the best friends and had some of the best experiences I've had at Northwestern through PARC; whether going to a yacht formal, a midnight game of capture the flag, or simply playing sardines throughout the building, my experience here has been an absolute blast! Our master staff and fellows are some of the best resources you can have on campus; they'll answer any questions you have honestly and easily! I was afraid of the public affairs theme at first, but have since realized that it is a loose theme and that our residents, fellows and master staff come from a wide range of academic backgrounds, so there's always something new and different to talk about and get involved with. Overall, PARC is a great blend of people and experiences that I wouldn't give up for anything. - Andrew Brugman
