I dug this dorm. It was a good size to get to know people if you have trouble meeting new friends in new places. Not too big (BOBB) and not to small (...anything smaller than PARC.) Also, the location is prime! Being directly across from the arch made everything (classes, the el, downtown evanston, off campus apartments of friends...everything, essentially) really accessible. Also, running home between classes or events was simple because there is a shuttle stop right at the arch. While I am not going to live in PARC next year, all in all it was a solid first-year living experience. DOIT. - Frankie DiCiaccio
I didn't actually pick PARC. It seemed generic and a little out of my interests, so I only put it as my fifth choice in housing. But living here, I've met my best friends on campus. The suite system is amazing, and the people are great. If for nothing else though, PARC is the perfect location to live in on campus (unless you're a science major). It's close to everything, and I'm close to downtown Evanston. First impressions, meh, but overall, great dorm. - Yakira Frank
I love living in PARC. It has great people. Everyone is friendly and it's easy to find a close group of friends. It's social but quiet enough to do work. The suite-style living is really nice because it gives each suite a common area to hang out in. The location is great. We're really close to several dining halls, downtown Evanston, and the arch. PARC is just the right size. It's small enough that you can get to know most people, but big enough that you still see new faces. Overall, it's a great place to live, whether you have an interest in public affairs, or none at all! - Lindsay Traiman
I love PARC! I've made a lot of good friends because of the suite-style living and the sense of community that a residential college has to offer. Plus, PARC has the best location on campus - it's right across from the Arch and close to downtown Evanston. - Annie Adams
PARC was a great place to spend my freshman year... it's small enough so that you get to know people really well, really quickly, but it's definitely not a small in an anti-social kind of way. PARCers are all really fun and I've made amazing friends here! It's a great community, whether or not you're interested in public affairs. - Laura Simpson
My experience has been very good. Mostly my experience in this res college has allowed me to become really close to some great friends. - Ann Fefferman
I never heard of PARC before I got my housing contract, and I was a little worried because I didn't know anything about it. I wanted to live in one of the bigger, more popular dorms on campus, like Bobb, Allison, or Elder. But after a few weeks of school, I realized that I really enjoy living here. The rooms are a little on the small side, and they are all awkwardly shaped. But it suite-style living definitely makes up for it. It's awesome having a common area, and the way they are arranged makes the dorm very social. You always find people just hanging out int he common areas. I actually spend more time in my suite than in my room. It's also really nice that only 8 people are using your bathroom instead of an entire floor. I've liked it so much here that I'm living here again next year. - Michael Giannetto
