This is Kenny Tay and I am your commentator for today’s broomball match in the Robert Crown Ice Skating Rink. The pitch looks good and we are almost set to start. The players are bursting out of the tunnel and are getting warmed up for today’s big game. Oh look at that, there’s even this strange guy in a Bobb-McCulloch shirt who’s taking a jog around the rink.

Today’s referee is Stephanie Tsjim and I think she will ensure that it’s going to be a fair game. I have also heard that she’s a part time loanshark and that if someone’s not paying back your money, she’ll get it back for you in no time. And so the captains, KX and JJ, are taking their place in the centre circle. 1 hit, 2 hits, 3 hits AND HERE WE GO!!!

Oh my gosh!! What a GOAL!!! KX rushes in from deep to receive the cross from the left wing to poke it into the goal!! That has my vote for goal of the night. That was good teamwork there, Broomballin’ at its best!!

What a save by the dude in the Bobb-McCulloch shirt!! I don’t think there’s much skill involved though. All he’s doing is just lying on the ground like a brick. Oh look at that, the other team is so frustrated that rather than bringing the ball to the goal, they’re bringing the goal to the ball!! That’s creativity for you there.

And that’s the end of the game. I’d say today’s Man-of-the-Match award goes to Xin Kai, or more familiarly known as X by his loyal fans. He’s got a great long shot with him and I think he’s going to be one of the top goalscorers this season.
