NU Curling had 3 teams compete in the 2011 Illinois Curling Association 5 Year & Under Bonspiel. Northwestern brought home the Gold and Silver in the second event. The claws were out!

2nd Event Winners: Rob Yaple (S), Haley Yaple (V), Alex Cunliffe (2), Emily Yaple (1), and Marc Palmeri (Alt.)

2nd Event Runners Up: Albert Lipson (S), Justin Connell (V), Jody Moser (2), Helen Zha (1), and Danny Wells (Alt.)

2nd Event Semi-Finals: Michael Lucas (S), David Meyer (V), Paul Olczak (2), and Thomas Leeper (1)

A community-building graduate club dedicated to teaching and playing the great winter sport of curling. Our FREE events take place at the Chicago Curling Club, located a short carpool ride away in Northbrook. From fall to spring we will be hosting weekly (barring holidays and some CCC events) lessons, games, and broomstacking (post-game drinks and snacks) and would like all of you to join in. New to the 2011-2012 season, these events will be held on Saturday afternoons. Newcomers are highly encouraged to come try it out, as are any curling pros.

In addition to these weekly events, we have also sent teams to Regional and National Curling Tournaments and have held the Northwestern Bonspiel to end our past five seasons.
