As a club sport, NU Crew receives minimal support from the University -- The majority of our budget comes from team dues, fundraisers, and donations. Any amount you can spare helps us to pay for coaches' salaries, regatta fees, equipment, and other expenses. Thank you for your support!

There are two main methods for donating to NU Crew, and both are tax-exempt. Contributing to a pledged donation over a designated period of time rather than giving all at once is encouraged.

Donate to Northwestern University

Click here. Then, in the Amount 6 box, indicate the amount of the donation. In the Other box, indicate Northwestern Crew Team or Northwestern Rowing. For assistance call: 847-491-8398 or 847-491-8324. The processing only takes 24 hours, but the money will not surface in the team account for a few weeks.

Make checks payable to Northwestern University. Indicate in a letter that your donation should be given to the rowing team.

Gifts in Kind

Donating to the team does not have to involve money. The team is also in need of a variety of other items. To donate or purchase any of these items, please contact the team’s Fundraising Chair.

Gas cards – any $ amount to help with launches and trailering
Gift certificates for food – any amount to common restaurants or grocery chains
Airline tickets/miles
Tent for regattas
Hotel rooms
Tools – old wrenches (7/16, 3/4), etc.
Mirrors for erg room

Regardless of the way or method of donation, please send an email to the team’s Treasurer so
that your gift can be tracked and so the team can send you a letter of recognition and thanks. Include
your name, contact information, and current and total amount (for pledges) of your donation. If you
have any questions, also send an e-mail the team’s Treasurer.
