Aaron Zdawczyk
- Varsity Men's Coach
Aaron returns for his fourth year at the helm of the varsity
men’s program. In addition to his coaching duties, Aaron
serves
as an Assistant Director of Admission and Financial Aid at
Northwestern. Aaron’s coaching background includes seasons as
the
novice men’s coach at Northwestern University, novice
women’s coach at Boston College, head coach at Anthony Wayne
High
School in Toledo, Ohio, and learn-to-row instructor at the Toledo
Rowing Club and at Community Rowing in Boston. He also spent two years
in Princeton, NJ where he rowed and competed for the Carnegie Lake
Rowing Association and helped organize their sculling program.
Aaron’s rowing career began on Lake Quinsigamond under the
instruction of Tom Sullivan at the College of the Holy Cross in
Worcester, Massachusetts where he was captain of the team in 1997. |

Anthony Brock -
Varsity Women's Coach
Over the last 9 years Anthony has coached in every type of rowing
program, from Eastern Sprints to club learn-to-row. This experience
coupled with his Exercise Physiology education promises a sure boost in
boat speed for the Varsity Women's program. Currently he is coaching
both at Northwestern and at nearby New Trier High School. His coaching
background includes a 2 year stint in Boston coaching at MIT, Boston
College and CRI, a 3 year command of Niskayuna High School Varsity
Boy's and club experience at Lincoln Park boat club where he ran the
Learn to Row program. Anthony rowed as a Lightweight at Ithaca College
from 1992-1996. |

Mary
Beth Hartoon - Novice Women's
Coach
After a long break, Mary-beth
has returned to the exciting collegiate division of rowing. Her
coaching background includes two years at New Trier High School working
with all levels of the girls program. She rowed at the Ohio
Universityfrom 2001 to 2005.

Erin Cikanek
- Novice Men's Coach
Erin began her rowing career at
the University of
Michigan, spending her first year on the novice team and the next three
as a member of the Varsity squad. During her time there she
earned two varsity letters, won a Big Ten Team Championship in 2004,
and was named to the 2007 Big Ten Academic All-Conference Team. She
also rowed for the Lincoln Park Boat Club Women's Team for summer 2004
and 2005 and has coached the Learn-to-Row program at Lincoln Park Boat
Club the past three summers. Erin is very excited to coach the Novice
Men this upcoming season. |
