Board of Directors

After an open invitation to all the alumni of NU Crew, the BCRF Board of Directors was formed into a body on June 16th 2005 and is comprised by the following people:

Officers:

Eric Lev ’98 – President
Eric was a member of the NU Crew team for four years, from 1995-1998. He rowed for three years as a lightweight and was lucky to have a number of successes, including a second place at the Dad Vail Regatta. Eric coached the novices during his senior year, and served as Racing Chair during his sophomore season. Since graduating, Eric has remained involved in the sport, and is currently a sculling member of the Lincoln Park Boat Club. Together with Mike, Eric has also spent the past few years getting BCRF up and running.

Mike Andrews ‘97- Vice President
Mike rowed as a Lightweight for Northwestern from 1993-1997. Recently, he helped co-found the Bubbly Creek Rowing Foundation (BCRF) and is serving as vice-president of the Board of Directors. He has spent his years since graduation in Chicago, and is currently working at PepsiCo.

Greg Andrianis ’04 - Secretary/Treasurer
Greg joined NU Crew as a member of the novice team in the fall of 2000. During his 4 years at Northwestern Crew he served as Alumni/Development Chair and as President of the team during his senior year. He was 7 seat in the men’s 8+ that came in 5th in the Petite Final in the 2004 Dad Vail Regatta. He has been involved with BCRF since the early steps of the foundation. Greg is currently a graduate student in Civil Engineering at Northwestern University.


Directors:

Heather Blannin ’99
Heather was a member of NU Crew for three years, from 1997-1999. During those years she rowed as both a port and starboard lightweight and had the opportunity to serve as President her senior year. Since graduating, Heather has worked at the Corporate Executive Board in various Human Resources research and consulting roles. She currently is the Director of Product Management for the organization's CLC Metrics brand. Additionally, when injuries do not preclude it, Heather is an active member of Alexandria Community Rowing in Northern Virginia.

Derrick Grava ’84 (Honorary Lifetime Director)
Derrick started the Northwestern Crew in 1981, where he met his wife of 20 years, Joan. Although Derrick no longer rows, his son Nicholas (16) is on the Choate crew and his son Christopher (13) rows for the St. Andrew rowing club in Atlanta. Derrick remains involved at Northwestern as an alumni interviewer. Derrick has spent the last 21 years in the financial services industry and is a Senior Vice President at UBS Financial Services, where he structures and markets funds for the Alternative Investment Group.

Mark Klitgaard ’89
Mark (WCAS 1989) rowed for Northwestern from 1987 through 1989 as a starboard in fours and eights while the club rowed out of both the Lincoln Park Lagoon and the base of the Chicago river. NU Crew was one of Mark's favorite endeavors while at Northwestern. Mark now sculls with the Los Gatos Rowing Club, occasionally competing in indoor races or regattas. Besides joining BCRF, Mark has remained active with the Northwestern community by serving on the NU Alumni Admissions Council for a number of years. Professionally, Mark is a Senior Manager with the International Tax Services Group of Deloitte Tax LLP in San Jose, California.

Kat Wunderink ’01
Katherine (Kat) Wunderink rowed starboard for NU Crew from 1997 to 2001. Her junior year, she was the women’s varsity team captain, and her senior year she ran the alumni and development program, helping the team celebrate its 20th anniversary. She was lucky enough to row at Dad Vails for four years and in the same boat as her sister for two years. She now lives and works in Washington, DC doing public health research for the American Legacy Foundation.
