Mission Statement

The McCormick Student Advisory Board is a diverse group of students dedicated to serving as representatives for the McCormick student body, identifying the needs of students, and working with the administration and their interests to unify the McCormick community and improve the McCormick experience.

History

The McCormick Student Advisory Board (MSAB) is an organization that was formed in the winter of 2005-2006 to open up lines of communication between McCormick's undergraduate student body, its faculty, and its administration. Dozens of applicants for the Board positions as well as the many issues and ideas voiced by those students clearly demonstrated a need for such a group. The initial selection of undergraduate members was chosen to represent every class and major in the McCormick School. Our advisory role involves us in all areas of McCormick life, from filling the undergraduate positions on administrative committees to assisting engineering student group leaders in organization, advertising, and programming.

All board members work on at least one project of their choice through a committee or individually. The board meets once per week to give updates and discuss new ideas.
