Here you'll find a summary of the success we've had in the 2009-2010 tournament season.
Macalester Invitational November 6-8, 2009.
Northwestern sent two teams to the Macalester invitational, and came home with two team trophies. Team 393 finished with a record of 6-2 to take home an 8th place trophy, and Team 392 came home with a record of 7-1 to earn 3rd place. (Had Combined Strength been used as the tiebreakers, the two teams would have been 4th and 2nd place.) The program also came home with three individual awards. Eamon McMahon (19 ranks) came home with a witness award, and Aaron Michnowski (20 ranks) and JD Bryant (20 ranks) both brought home perfect attorney awards. All four NU teams have now been to a tournament, and the program looks to keep trucking into its coming tournaments. Click here for the tab summary.
Cornell College Invitational October 31 - November 1, 2009.
Northwestern competed at its first tournament of the year at Cornell College. The two teams had a strong showing, going 4-4 and 6-2, earning a third place trophy and taking the only ballot the first place team lost at the tournament. The teams also came home with plenty of personal hardware. Josh Levin (19 ranks), Alessio Manti (19 ranks), Natalie Chan (19 ranks), and Jennifer Berman (19 ranks) all came home with attorney awards. Impressively, Natalie and Alessio also earned witness awards (16 and 15 ranks, respectively) along with teammate Connie Zhang (19 ranks). The team has hit the ground running, and is looking forward to its coming Fall tournaments. Click here for the tabs.
