Girls

Kate Bell
Kate Bell is a Northwestern senior hailing from the bustling metropolis of Willmar, MN. Rebelling from a family of South Dakota-based doctors, she has chosen to study International Studies and History with a side of Global Health. During her years as a wildcat, she's gotten to take part in a wide variety of great opportunities. She got to know great friends on ASB trips, founded the Midnight Running Club as a CA in Shepard, got low with Alpha Phi's and enjoyed living with families in both Uganda and Guatemala. She is currently serving as President of Greek Intervarsity and a co-chair of Community Development for the Global Engagement Summit. A proud member of the last class to know a Norriss-sans-Starbucks, she knows that the Class of 2010 has overcome a lot and is ready to take the world by storm, no matter what the economy says.
Julia Brook
Hey there I'm Julia Brook, an English Major from Wayzata, Minnesota but currently located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Best of both worlds! I am involved in a lot of things around campus but my passion is for SEED, NCA, ASG and Pi Beta Phi. I enjoy challenging the Evanston Parking Police and visiting the pet shop on a far too frequent basis. More importantly I am invested in enjoying the experience of Northwestern and could not ask for a better place to do so, oh and I bleed purple, no, seriously, it is a medical condition.
Katie Halpern
Katie Halpern hails from Olympia, Washington, home of the world's largest concentration of geoducks. She uses her International Studies and Creative Nonfiction Writing majors to pen bodice-busting romance novels about handsome foreigners. When she isn't interviewing Fabio, Katie jealously guards Dillo Day secrets as Mayfest co-chair. She believes in fitness, keeping in shape with laughter-induced ab workouts as a former Mee-Ow producer, swimming around with The Dolphin Show, and working it out with A&O. You can win Katie's heart with haikus and NBA trivia. She will capture yours with air-trumpet skills and bad jokes about armadillos.
Ally Tawil
Allison Rose Tawil, better known as Ally, AT... or sometimes reduced to the letter T...is a Florida native majoring in Art History, BIP. She has been active in Northwestern Dance Marathon since her sophomore year, contributing as both a dancer and Corporate Relations committee member. She is currently on the Dance Marathon 2010 Executive Board serving as Corporate Relations Co-chair. Ally is also an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Ally loves Northwestern and has been bleeding purple since she applied early decision. But while she loves Chicago, her species Tampas Floridas does not thrive in the Chicago cold (She hibernates and flocks home with fellow sun loving Floridians and Californians in the winter). Her favorite color is cerulean blue. She has killer dance moves. She is an avid Food Network watcher... Giada De Laurentis is her idol. Breakfast is Ally's favorite meal of the day and makes some mean chocolate chip, rasberry pancakes. A huge fan of most sports, minus golf and cricket, Ally is a devoted New York Yankee fan. She also loves the outdoors and enjoys kayaking, skiing, hiking, and is a natural Annie Oakley at skeet shooting.

Boys

David Leander
David Leander is a Senior born in South Korea, adopted and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a triple major in Materials Science, Economics, and Spanish and Global Health Studies minor in WCAS. Beyond taking classes to graduate, he also takes classes in Latin, Psychology, and whatever else fits in his scheduled overloads. Outside the classroom he spends his time all around campus. He is the Captain of the Varsity Cheerleading Team, Executive Board Member of NU Microfinance Club and MatSci Club, Trumpet Player in NU Concert Band, Spanish Department Tutor, La Rabida Children's Hospital Co-Site Leader, ASB Site Leader (Winter '10, went on trips during Winter '07 and '09). In the past, he has been the Risk Manager of Lambda Chi Alpha, Executive Board Member of NCDC, Peer Advisor for Wildcat Welcome and UES, and an IM Softball Champ. He has been the recipient of the John & Martha Mabie Fellowship for Independent Public Health Research and International Program Development Fellowship. This past summer was given the opportunity to pursue research in bionanotechnology and the summer before he studied abroad in Mexico City. David represents many aspects of NU: academics, athletics, and leadership within the community. Attending Northwestern has given him a wealth of opportunities and experiences for his future endeavors in whereever life will take him. In his final year, he plans to leave no stone unturned--but seriously he could stay here forever.
Shane Singh
A senior in the Medill School of Journalism, Shane Michael Singh is also pursuing a minor in Film Studies, hoping to find his own niche in the entertainment industry. Since 2007 Shane has been involved in Wildcat Welcome, serving as both Peer Adviser and Board member. He also helped producing Inspire Films' Symposium on Social Issue Media. Fresh off his journalism residency at TV Guide in New York, Shane realized his love for Chicago, the city he calls home, though he's actually from a small northern Illinois farm town. He texts non-stops, downs at least two grande Caramel Machiattos a day, and has no shame in citing The Hills, Glee, and Project Runway as his must-see TV.
Scott Topal
Scott Topal LOVES purple! He is currently a senior majoring in Learning and Organizational Change in SESP and with minors in Political Science and Business Institutions. He hails from Queens, NY and loves everything about Northwestern (but misses NY pizza and bagels). Scott has served as the President of NU Hillel, VP of Org. Change for NCA (Northwestern Class Alliance), is a Senior Admission Counselor and has been involved with his fraternity, DM, and NU Homecoming. Scott can be found in the front row of every home football game, basketball game, and lacrosse game sporting his customized 'GO U NU' purple sneakers! In his free time Scott loves eating baked spaghetti at Dave's Italian Kitchen, living in his purple chair at Norbucks, and daydreaming about Willie the Wildcat. Scott would be honored to have your vote and promises to be the most purple of Homecoming Kings!
Corey Winchester
What's good! First off, it's an honor to have been selected for Homecoming Court!!! My name is Corey Winchester. In West Philadelphia, I was born and raised but now in Evanston is where I spend most of my days. Side note: I've actually been told once that I look like Will Smith by a group of 7th graders (that was definitely a first) while I was working at The Breakthrough Collaborative (anybody looking for a summer job?). I love Philly and the fact that we are the World Series Champs, but I tend to digress.Anyway, I'm a senior majoring in Secondary Education with a concentration in History and a minor in Legal Studies. On NU's campus, you might just find me all over. I've held positions in Wildcat Welcome, Promote 360, Residence Hall Association, Men's Club Volleyball, and the African American Freshman Advisory Board. Right now, I'm the President of the Iota Nu Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc, and Treasurer and the National Pan-Hellenic Council. I'm also involved with ASB and will be site leading this Winter (apply)! If you play IM Sports at Northwestern, you may find me there reffing your games too! NU basically is on 10, shoutout to the new pres- Morty! I really wish I could stay another four years...GO U NU!
