Habitat For Humanity
At Northwestern University
We are a group of Northwestern Students who spend our weekends building and repairing homes with the ultimate goal of eliminating poverty housing. As a chapter of the national group, Habitat for Humanity, we seek to spread the word about the dire state of poverty housing in America and try to motivate people to help do something about it. Last year our projects took us to building sites that helped homeless residents in Evanston, people living with HIV/AIDS and those who support them, and helped to create safe and clean housing for the elderly. If you would like to help us in our mission to create a sense of home for those who otherwise wouldn’t have it, please joing our listserv. Trips are coordinated week by week via email, and if you want to sign up for a trip just follow the email instructions.
