UPCOMING EVENTS:

Support the Resolution Against the War!
ASG Meeting
Wednesday, May 16, 7:00pm
Northwestern Room, Norris

Welcome to the website of the Northwestern chapter of Campus Greens, a national, student-based, non-profit organization dedicated to building a broad-based movement for radical democracy on America’s high school and college campuses.

NU Campus Greens seeks to provide students with a progressive/leftist alternative on campus. We invite speakers and hold events on campus oriented towards the Green movement, as well as participate as a group in political activism throughout Evanston and Chicago.  In the past, we have organized around the war in Iraq, immigrants' rights, drug policy reform, the occupation of Palestine, and protection of Alaska's wilderness.  As participants in the Green movement, our organiztion adheres to the ten point platform of:

community-based economics
decentralization
ecological wisdom
feminism
future focus
grassroots democracy
non-violence
personal and global responsibility
respect for diversity
social justice

Meetings are generally held bi-weekly and are open to all Northwestern students, faculty and staff who are interested in moving beyond the two-party status quo.  Occasionally, refreshments are provided.
