02.16.2008 || RETURN OF FUSION'S WEBSITE!

FUSION HAS RETURNED. Online, that is. So much has been going on in the... 1.5 years that we haven't updated (Our bad, really). But we've been getting bigger and better, we'll let you know what we've been up to soon enough!

First off, an introduction of this year's hottest and newest members from our fall auditions: Amanda, Amelia, Brittany, Cressy, Justin, Katerina, Kristen, Laura, Norman, Roswell, and Yaa! And because we just couldn't get enough, Fusion decided to have winter auditions to add to our ever-growing Fusion fam! A warm welcome to our even newer members: Dan, Karena, and Li. Fusion love all around!

WEEKLY CLASSES- Due to weather, Fusion hasn't been able to flyer as much as we hoped to this quarter (boo hiss) but with the return of our website, we'll be able to keep those interested in our weekly classes on Sundays updated. So on that note, we'll still be having a company class THIS SUNDAY, 02.17.08 from 3-4 PM in Blomquist Gym. And it's only $5! Niiiice.

P.S. Keep a lookout for Fusion events in the very near future!
Hint: A Bar Night & Dance Marathon '08, anyone?


MORE TO COME--Sorry the webmaster's lazy self hasn't been keeping up with this. She promises though, that all this will change, and that the website will be the new means of major communication with the public. Take me seriously, I kid you not and won't let you down!

10.09.2006 || Breakdancing Class Updates

We are thrilled that there is so much interest in our Breakdancing program. However, due to performance commitments in Fall, our classes will now begin in Winter quarter to ensure that we are able to devote the necessary time and effort to make the program as comprehensive and successful as possible. In the meanwhile, Fusions hip hop classes are a great way to start developing the dancing fundamentals and sense of rhythm that are important when learning any styles of dance. We thank you for your patience and understanding!

10.07.2006 || Welcome New Fusion Members!

A huge thank you to everyone who auditioned for us last Saturday. It's fantastic to see just how much new talent is on campus; we were faced with a great deal of difficult decisions! The whole company would like to extend a warm welcome to our hot new dancers: AJ, Amber, Brenda, Cameron, Eunice, Francesca, Jake, Joyce, Josie, Kathryn, Keith, Nancy, & Peter. Look for them busting out when Fusion performs at Homecoming! 

09.27.2006 || Classes & Auditions Coming Up!

Auditions are this Saturday at Patten Gym. We'll begin at 12pm, with callbacks at 4pm. Show up early to warm up and be ready to shake it!

Also, thank you to everyone who threw it down with us at Fusion's first Hip Hop class last Sunday. We had an awesome time dancing with all 80 of you! Regular classes will begin next week (Oct 8th), so be sure to come by! If you didn't have the chance to sign up for the Fusion listserv last Thursday, please email Erica Meeks (e-meeks@northwestern.edu) and she will add you asap.

09.09.2006 || Welcome Back!

We hope everyone had a fantastic summer! The site has been updated with a dedicated page for our new Breakdancing program (the Hip Hop page is coming soon), along with the new Fusion exec board and alumni for 2006-07. Details on audition time/venue and final class schedule will also be posted in the near future so check back often.

To all the incoming freshmen dancers, welcome to Northwestern! Please drop by our booth at the upcoming Activities Fair to find out more about Fusion Dance Company and sign up for the listserv. We look forward to meeting and dancing with you guys!   

05.08.2006 || The Fusion Factory finally shuts down!

Fusion Dance Company closed out its final show on Sunday to a raving audience of over 120 people and can finally kick back after a couple of long weeks months of hard work. A huge thank you goes out to our lighting designer Ben and sound technician Rachel for helping us put on our best performance yet! Additional kudos go to Exec Board for running 'The Factory' like a well oiled machine and finally, thank you to all the friends, family & Fusion alumni who came out to cheer us on and helped make each night truly unique and special. Photos from the show will hopefully be up in a couple of weeks so stay tuned!
