Welcome To Northwestern
Evans Scholars!

It is a tremendous honor to be a scholar in the Alpha Chapter of the Evans Scholars Program. There exists here at Northwestern a sense of pride, determination, and community that is unparalleled anywhere else. I am truly proud to be an Evans Scholar and to serve the Alpha Chapter as it's President.

We have made some great strides in the past few years and I hope to keep building on that forward momentum in the years to come. Through dedicated alums and hard work from our current scholars, we have made this chapter what it is today. But we've also stopped to have a good time along the way. You'll see in our photo collection that we're not only about scholarship and leadership: it is group living and great people that make this chapter truly special.

My hope is that this web site will help us continue in our forward direction and keep everyone up-to-date on the activities of the house. There is a great deal of information in these pages and I hope you find everything you might need. Browse the calendar of upcoming events, take a look at our intramural victories, and keep in touch with the NU scholars. If, however, something is missing or you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me, my door and email are always open.

Kind Regards,

A Message From the Webmaster

The Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship renewable for all four years and available right here at Northwestern University. To qualify you must first be a golf caddy for a minimum of two years at a sponsoring club. Caddies must be nominated by their club and meet the following four requirements: have a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrate financial need, and have outstanding character. To learn more I encourage you to visit the links on this website.

As the technology chair, I am maintaining this website in order to better the organization and provide others with information. If you feel there is anything missing please do not hesitate to contact me.

The Evans Scholars Creed

We, as Evans Scholars, strive for ideals of community leadership – achieved not necessarily through popularity, but through character.

We cherish the ability to set aside pleasurable activities until the necessary ones are accomplished.

We strive for group unity and loyalty through an interaction and appreciation of varied backgrounds and personalities.

We strive for public esteem based upon the demonstrated ability to achieve and maintain positions of respect in our community.

We represent an educational institution seeking to teach men and women to live and work with each other and to instill in them the ability toembrace individual differences and to respect individual freedoms.

Personal growth is our goal; group living is our means.
