Delta Zeta's national philanthropy is The Painted Turtle. The Painted Turtle allows children who would not otherwise be able to attend summer camp because of their medical concerns to have a traditional camp experience completely free of charge.
Delta Zetas also support the Delta Zeta Foundation through individual and chapter contributions. The mission of the Foundation is to support the educational, leadership, scholastic, and philanthropic programs of the sorority. The Foundation gives donations to the House Ear Institute and Gallaudet University in Washington, DC.
At the 47th National Convention held in Phoenix, Arizona during the week of June 21-26, 2006, Delta Zeta added two new philanthropies: So the World May Hear, through the Hear Now program, and The Painted Turtle.
While we recognize Speech and Hearing as our national philanthropy, countless other causes and organizations benefit from the generosity of our members and chapters.
