Delta Zeta cares about its members. Joining Delta Zeta can actually help your grades. In Spring 2006, Delta Zeta and Panhellenic GPA's surpassed the non-Greek women's GPA, and over half our DZ sisters earned above a 3.65!
Delta Zetas are always around to help one another. Chances are, if you need help with a class, one of your sisters has already taken it, and she'd be glad to help you out! DZ's often gather in the dining room, living room, and library to study together in a quiet but encouraging environment.
Our Academic Chair works hard to deliver programming to encourage sisters to do their best in their classes.
Weekly munchies are held one night a week, where sisters can gather in the dining room for snacks and encouragement. Each quarter, during one munchies night, DZ's are recognized for their exceptional GPA's. Sisters achieving Dean's List GPA's of 3.7 and GPA's of 4.0 are applauded and given treats.
During Monday Chapter, sisters write down all their academic achievements from the past week on a slip of paper and put it into a cup. The Academic Chair then randomly pulls a winner, who is announced in front of chapter and receives a treat, which changes each quarter: a cookie (Smart Cookie), Coldstone ice cream (Brain Freeze), you name it! The additional achievements that weren't read out loud are typed up and e-mailed to the chapter for recognition.
