Upcoming event: Heart to Heart Charity Dinner Mixer
CSA continues with its tradition of partnering with our sister student group ChinaCare for a Fall Quarter charity fundraiser.
This year, ChinaCare is sponsoring a Chinese orphan named Ying. When Ying came to ChinaCare, her skin was blue due to a rare and complex congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. She has a hole between the ventricles in her heart as well as an obstructed passage from the heart to the lungs. The condition causes oxygen-poor blood to pump into her body, which is what made Ying appear blue. She is now eight months old and in desperate need of surgery to repair her damaged heart.
After three successful years of SpeedDating, this year we've decided to mix things up with a dinner mixer! Come join us on Monday, November 16th 6:00pm at Parkes Hall for food, fun, and [new] friends! We will ask you to give $8 at the door for Ying's surgery fund, but you'll leave with memories you'll cherish for the rest of your life. See you all there!
