Northwestern China Care is interested in supporting and saving the lives of
abandoned Chinese orphans. We are an independent, student run club at Northwestern University,
and a recognized China Care Club under the China Care Foundation, Inc. Northwestern China Care's
mission is to sponsor adoptions and surgeries for orphans in China. Within
the Chicago area, we aim to create and foster a stronger community with the
adopted children and with China Care families by holding playgroups and a
mentorship program for adopted orphans.
The money we raise goes to support individual children, children with
names and faces. Northwestern students have a chance to impact singular
lives, one by one, whether that be by raising money, playing with kids at
playgroups, or being a mentor to an adopted Chinese child.
Though a student club in college seems trivial and minor
with respect to the vastness of the orphan problem in China, the China orphans
and adopted families gladly accept every small deed that is offered. Thus
every donation, no matter how small or large, and every hour dedicated to
supporting this cause can change lives.
We are looking for volunteers who are interested in helping
as little or as much as they are interested in doing. If you are a family in
the Chicago area with an adopted child from China and would like to join this
friendly community, we can help you. Contact Us!
