New Student Week

Rock the Beach: It’s a party on the beach… with pizza. Go. It’s fun.

Fall Quarter

RCB Formal: It’s a dance. An inexpensive dance. You get to dance. Dancing is fun. Therefore...

RCB Halloween Bash: New this year! Gauranteed costume fun!

Thai Dinner with Frivolous Readings: Yummy Thai food and silly readings by fellows. Who could ask for more?

Winter Quarter

Chapin Coffee House: Coffee pretension and performance – what’s more pretentious than a coffee house? A coffee house with Chapinos attempting to perform for their dorm mates.

Dance Marathon Auction: Chapinos auction off services (men in drag that come to class with you, midwinter streaking, shirtless French art songs, movie tickets, and laundry services).  At least this year you don’t have a Persian Prince to outbid EVERYONE. It’s all for charity, really!

Spring Quarter

Dance Marathon: Raise money and dance for 30 hours for a noble cause yet to be determined.  Last year, two Chapinos raised the most money.  As a prize, they got… plane tickets to Europe?

Chapin Chat: An illuminating lecture in tandem with delicious deserts at the Humanities Center (we are the Humanities Residential College after all).

Ethiopian Dinner: Everyone hops on the El to go to a fabulous Ethiopian Restaurant.  Yes, there really is food in Ethiopia.  It’s tasty.  You must believe us.

Master’s Mile: Two years ago, we came in first place.  This past year, we came in last after accidentally dumping our Associate Master out of the cart.  The goal: get around the lakefill faster than any other residential college with one of your masters in a shopping cart-like contraption.

Chapin Formal: This is the first major task of the new exec board. Make it fun. No boats.

Chapin Barbecue: Food. Lots of Food. Water Balloons. Need I say more?

Dillo Day: Bands on the Lake Fill. Northwestern pretends it’s a state school. Ask your friends.
