A: Tryouts are typically held during the first few weeks of the school year.

Q: What do tryouts consist of?

A: First, You will be given a numbered tag. Then, You will run through some of the boxing club excercise routines. Ensuite, You will be applauded for your effort. Finally, await a response from exec.

Q: Why didn't I make the team?

A: Unfortunately, the number of team members the northwestern boxing club can accept is regulated by the Evanston boxing club. Therefore, while we would like to accept everyone, we can't. Furthermore, we try our very best to select those individuals that do possess some natural athletic prowess. At the same time, we also try to pick those individuals that possess the right kind of mindset (i.e. are you going to be committed to the team?). We want individuals who both are willing to go through the rigours of training and stick around to the end.

Q: What if I can't make it to practice?

A: We do realize that while we are elite warriors,we are still students with lives outside of boxing. To miss practice, try to have a valid excuse. Example of a valid excuse: "I have to study for a test tomorrow." NOT "I just didn't feel like It."

*Don't expect to fight if you miss a lot of practices.
