BMEGS maintains two listservs separate from the BME department listserv.

The department automatically adds all graduate students to their listserv (bme_grads@mccormick.northwestern.edu). If you are not on this listserv, please contact the graduate program assistant. This is how the department communicates all information to graduate students. Only the graduate program assistant can send e-mail to this listserv, so contact him or her if you would like to send an e-mail.

The BMEGS listservs are for communication among graduate students. Any BME graduate student can send an e-mail to these listservs. We typically send information about BMEGS, happy hours, intramural sports, holiday party, feedback session, summer BBQ, etc. Graduate students must add themselves to this listerv and they can remove themselves any time. Instructions can be found at the NUIT website.

To sign up for BME-PHD@listserv.it.northwestern.edu, send an e-mail with a blank subject to listserv@listserv.it.northwestern.edu containing the following text: SUBSCRIBE BME-PHD YourFirstName YourLastName

To sign up for BME-MS@listserv.it.northwestern.edu, send an e-mail with a blank subject to listserv@listserv.it.northwestern.edu containing the following text: SUBSCRIBE BME-MS YourFirstName YourLastName

To send an e-mail to one or both listservs, just send an e-mail to BME-PHD@listserv.it.northwestern.edu and/or BME-MS@listserv.it.northwestern.edu.

Note: when receiving an e-mail from one of the BMEGS listservs, hitting "reply" will send your reply to everyone on the listserv. Be sure to manually type in the sender's e-mail address if you want to only reply to him or her.
