Pre-Wildcat Welcome ASB trips are designed just for incoming Northwestern students. Taking place each fall during the week before new student orientation (Wildcat Welcome), groups of new Wildcats and two upperclassmen site leaders take part in the thrills of a typical ASB trip - roadtripping to sites across the country to spend a week on service-learning projects with various non-profit organizations. Participants not only have the opportunity to volunteer and learn about an important social issue, they also get to know other students and learn about life at NU before even moving into their dorms!

ASB's 2008 Pre-Wildcat Welcome trips will take place September 9th - September 16th, 2008. Applications for incoming students are available in early summer.

Short Answer Questions:

1. Why do you want to become a Pre-WW site leader? Why do you feel prepared to lead incoming freshmen on a service-learning trip?

2. Pretend you’re hosting a propsie who’s very shy and nervous about coming to college. How would you make him/her feel comfortable and excited about coming to NU? Where would you take him/her? What would you do?

3. Describe your most embarrassing or awkward moment as a college freshman.

Interview availability:

Applicant interviews will be held Friday, February 15^th- Sunday, February 16^th. Please indicate all of your availability during the following time slots. You will be notified via e-mail of your interview time by the morning of Friday, February 15^th.

**Please note: All Pre-WW ASB site leaders are required to take a student-led seminar spring quarter. The class will carry one P/N credit and will meet for approximately 3 hours one evening per week.**
