Calendar
When classes are in session the Northwestern Aikido Club meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in Blomquist Gym from 5:45 PM to 8:00 PM. We set up the mats from 5:45 to 6:00, there is a class from 6:00 to 7:00, a short break, and then another class until 8:00. Members and interested students can attend either the first class, the second class, or both. Every Saturday from 3:45 to 6:00 there is open mat time when club members can practice on their own. Interested in aikido? Stop by any class to give it a try!
Exceptions to the above weekly class schedule and other club events are listed below.
2008 Spring
- May 26: Memorial Day. There is no class as Blomquist is closed.
- May 31: There is no open mat time as Blomquist is closed.
- June 6: Last class of quarter. No classes during summer. Club members are encouraged to continue their training during the summer at our parent dojo, Shinjinkai.
2008 Summer
- July 19: Fall-A-Thon Fundraiser to benefit the Korinji's Foundation temple building fund.
- July 20: Aikido Rank Test at parent dojo, Shinjinkai.
- July 26-27: Shochugeiko Aikido Summer Training Seminar at parent dojo, Shinjinkai.
2008 Fall
- September 23: Blomquist opens again for school year.
- September 24: Aikido classes begin again for school year.
- September 26-28: Midwest Regional Aikido Seminar with T.K. Chiba Sensei at Fox Valley Aikikai, Naperville.
- October 18: Aikido Rank Test at parent dojo, Shinjinkai.
- Novermber 8-9: Aikido Seminar with Darrell Bluhm Shihan of Siskiyou Aikikai at parent dojo, Shinjinkai.
