Our community is remarkably close-knit, and its members have diverse academic and extracurricular interests. MOC & WOC (Men Off Campus & Women Off Campus) is Northwestern's only organization dedicated to commuters and off-campus students. Dating back to the 1940s, MOC & WOC's goal is to foster community and create an identity and sense of belonging for commuters at Northwestern. We host numerous social events, run the Commuter Orientation during New Student Week, and advocate for commuter issues.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia

Phi Mu Alpha is Northwestern University’s only music fraternity for men. Established in 1910, the Iota Chapter has enjoyed continuous membership of students in not only the School of Music, but all of Northwestern’s schools. The Chapter’s house is located at 626 Emerson Street, between Hobart House and Delta Gamma sorority. Its close proximity to the Music Administration Building, the “Beehive”, and downtown Evanston makes the Phi Mu Alpha house a prime location for music students and enthusiasts alike. All Sinfonians across the country follow the same creed: "The Object of this Fraternity shall be for the development of the best and truest fraternal spirit; the mutual welfare and brotherhood of musical students; the advancement of music in America; and a loyalty to the Alma Mater." For more information, check out our website at http://groups.northwestern.edu/sinfonia/, or our National website at http://www.sinfonia.org.
