African American Theatre Ensemble

African Student Association (ASA)

The African Student Association is an organization of students dedicated to increasing Northwestern's cultural bank of knowledge and African awareness through entertaining and educational programming.

Alianza -- The Hispanic/Latino Student Alliance

The purpose of Alianza, the largest Hispanic/Latino student organization at Northwestern University, is to unite and support its members to work towards the advancement of an empowered, productive, Hispanic/Latino presence at this institution. Alianza is a cultural, educational, and social programming body, which also serves as a vehicle for activism.

Alternative Student Breaks

Alternative Student Breaks (ASB) seeks to educate Northwestern University students about specific social issues by immersing them in service-learning activities in a wide array of communities across the country (and world). A student-run, student-driven organization, ASB strives to encourage lifelong social action by involving, educating, and heightening students' social awareness during their time at Northwestern.

Amnesty International - Northwestern University

Amnesty International is an internationally known human-rights advocacy group. Winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 1976, the group functions through community and student based groups that use various forms of advocacy to work for equal human rights around the globe. AI is independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion.

A&O Productions

A&O is Northwestern's all-campus programming group. We seek to enrich the lives of students, faculty, and staff by providing events such as concerts, speakers, comedians, and films.

Arts Alliance

Arts Alliance is the largest student theatre production company in the nation. We seek to expand the scope of theatre at Northwestern by creating and fostering an environment where students can develop their artistic and organizational abilities.

Asian Pacific American Coalition

APAC is a pan-Asian undergraduate student coalition that strives: to unify, empower, and serve as the political voice of the Asian/Asian American student population at Northwestern; to explore and educate the campus community about the Asian American experience; and to foster an Asian American identity within the student population.

Associated Student Government

ASG is a lobbying body that serves to empower students and to advocate on their behalf to the University. ASG is composed of elected senators representing every undergraduate student at Northwestern University. We have senators representing every residence hall, residential college, sorority, fraternity, off-campus students, and 22 student groups.

CaribNation

Northwestern's Caribbean Student Alliance is an organization for students of Caribbean descent, as well as all members of the NU community who are interested in the dynamic culture. It seeks to explore and preserve the culture through many types of on-campus programming.

Chinese Students Association

The Chinese Students Association is one of the first established Asian-American student groups at Northwestern. We aim to promote the awareness of Chinese culture while encouraging a social environment for students of all backgrounds. Our annual events include: Celebrasia, dumpling socials, formals, and hosting famous guest speakers.

College Democrats

The College Democrats seek to stimulate political thought and activity at Northwestern, promote interest in governmental affairs, and advance the ideals and principles of the Democratic Party of the United States, Illinois, and Evanston. We do so by bringing engaging speakers to campus, assisting members in finding political experiences, and hosting interesting quarterly events.

College Feminists

It is College Feminists' mission to address the intersection of gender, race, sexuality and culture by initiating positive change in all social spaces. We believe in equal rights between women and men on all social, political and economic levels. College Feminists is a group of students determined to make the campus and the community aware of the issues all women face.

College Republicans

College Republicans is Northwestern's student organization that supports the ideals of the Republican Party. We provide large-scale programming of conservative speakers, participate in campus forums and debates, and provide a social setting for conservative students.

Dolphin Show

The Dolphin Show is a non-profit student theatre organization that annually produces America's largest student-produced musical. With a team of over 150 undergraduate students, The Dolphin Show celebrates the diverse talents of the Northwestern University undergraduate community by providing opportunities to learn and excel in all artistic and administrative fields. The Dolphin Show presents a professional-caliber production, while involving the greater Chicago community through outreach. Now in its 68th year, The Dolphin Show is proud to present the contemporary American musical, PARADE, by Jason Robert Brown, Harold Prince, and Alfred Uhry. For Members Only (FMO) serves as Northwestern University's premier Black Student Alliance. FMO serves to encourage political, social, cultural and intellectual unity and growth first and foremost within Northwestern University's Black community, but also within the broader Northwestern community as well. FMO is the representative and political voice of Northwestern University's Black undergraduate student body.

Hillel

Welcome to Fiedler Hillel at Northwestern University, where Jewish life on campus is vibrant, engaging and exciting! We are the foundation of Jewish life at Northwestern University, with over 15 student groups, a nationally distributed quarterly magazine, Schmooze, exciting speakers such as Andy Samberg and Jason Alexander, Israel programs, weekly free Shabbat dinners, as well as many ways to express your Judaism on campus.

Korean American Student Association

The Korean American Student Association is an organization formed to provide socially and culturally informative activities to all those who share a interest in Korean culture and Korean American issues. KASA also strives to promote awareness of Korean American students' interests as well as intercultural understanding and cooperation. KASA does not discriminate against persons of a different race, color, religion, creed, or national origin, and anybody is welcome to join!

Lovers and Madmen

Lovers and Madmen is Northwestern's only student theatre group devoted to the exploration of the works of William Shakespeare and other Classical Theatre through readings, workshops, and activities, but primarily through fully mounted productions.

Mayfest

Mayfest offers Northwestern varied and exciting programming during the month of May. Mayfest's programming culminates with Armadillo Day, a day-long music festival.

Muslim-cultural Students Association

The Muslim-cultural Students Association (McSA) is a community oriented organization that caters to the many different needs of Northwestern students. Our diverse membership includes (but is not limited to) backgrounds of Malaysian, Indian, Pakistani, Arab, African, American, and European descent. Our members are Muslim and non-Muslim alike. Even with such a diverse membership, our fundamental goals remain the same. Be it Islamic Awareness Week, philanthropy food drives, Ramadan dinners, or simply tutoring younger students, our primary motive is to promote the human values that Islam emphasizes: community, equality, justice, mercy, compassion, and peace.

National Pan Hellenic Council

NAYO Dance Ensemble

NAYO Dance Ensemble is an FMO affiliate that promotes and encourages artistic appreciation and social unity through dancing and the performing arts. In addition, we work to enhance the Black community, communities of other minorities, and work to donate towards charities. NAYO is not only a dance ensemble with experience in modern dance, hip-hop, tap, Latin, African Dance, Salsa, ballet, and lyrical, but also a performance group looking for talented individuals who can sing and play music. The fusion of different types of dances and other aspects of performance are what make NAYO innovative, artistic, creative, and a true standout performance group on campus. NCDC (Northwestern Community Development Corps)

NCDC (Northwestern Community Development Corps) a student run organization that seeks to engage students in community development at Northwestern, in Evanston, and throughout Chicago. We promote civic engagement through direct service, social awareness, and advocacy. Utilizing skills, talents, and abilities, we strive to build mutually beneficial relationships--enriching both our campus and the surrounding communities.

Niteskool Productions

For over 22 years, Niteskool Productions has been a advocate for Northwestern student bands. Taking on the roles of booking agent, publicity, and video producers, Niteskool performs a myriad of activities for student bands and artists. We book shows, we throw parties, we make music videos for you and your band at Niteskool Productions.

Northwestern Community Ensemble (NCE)

OASIS (Organized Action by Students Invested in Society)

Organized Action by Students Invested in Society (OASIS) sends student volunteers to 16 sites in the Evanston community and in the north neighborhoods of Chicago on a weekly basis. We work with children, adults, the elderly, and animals. We welcome all to join us.

One Step Before

The purpose of One Step Before is to serve the minority premedical students of Northwestern University, by providing valuable information that premedical students need, prior to attending medical school, through meetings, workshops, events, etc. This organization works diligently to try to stimulate the interests, of premedical students at Northwestern University, in the medical field by encouraging and promoting all minorities in medicine.

Peace Project

Peace Project is a progressive, non-partisan student group that participates in social justice actions both on campus and in Chicago. The issues the group focuses on vary, depending its members' interests. Peace Project is a non-hierarchical organization based on cooperative structures. The group hosts a speaker event in the fall and the spring, and publishes The Protest magazine six times per year. Peace Project has a goal of mobilizing and educating to help foster a more peaceful campus and world, based not only on the absence of war but the presence of justice.

Persian American Representatives of Students (PARS)

The Persian American Representatives of Students' (PARS) goals are to promote understanding, raise campus awareness, and eliminate ignorance towards the rich artistic, literary, and philosophical traditions of Persian culture. PARS will provide a unified voice and community for Persian-American students as well as all other students on campus.

Rainbow Alliance

Our purpose is to create a safe space and encourage personal development for people of all genders and sexualities, perceived or otherwise on campus. To do this we outreach to promote awareness, understanding, and dialogue of issues surrounding gender and sexuality in the Northwestern community; work to provide a supportive and fun social environment that creates a sense of community; fight homophobia and heterosexism; provide student support and contribution to the LGBT Support Network; collaborate and support other Northwestern LGBT groups and organizations; and plan specific outreach programming for the ally community.

SEED

Northwestern's Students for Ecological and Environmental Development (SEED) is the University's oldest and largest environmental student organization. Our mission is to pioneer, teach and model environmental stewardship so as to inspire our future leaders to act in ways that will sustain and protect our planet. In 2007-2008 SEED had a number of successes including improving the outdoor recycling program, advocating for stronger environmental academics, and assisting in the establishment of GREEN a dorm for environmental engagement that focuses on examined lifestyle, local service, and academics. Our other activities include large-scale programming, local environmental restoration work on the North Branch of the Chicago River, and representation in the University's Sustainability Working Group. South Asian Student Alliance (SASA)

SASA is Northwestern University's South Asian Student Alliance organization, devoted to sharing the rich and diverse cultures of all parts of South Asia.

Taiwanese American Students Club (TASC)

The Taiwanese American Students Club (TASC) was informally established in 1992, and the Associated Student Government recognized TASC as a student organization in January of 1994. Since then, TASC has grown from 8 members to an Associated Student Government A-status group with a mailing list that reaches more than 300 students. Our members include students of all backgrounds, Asians and non-Asians a like. The Taiwanese American Students Club exists to promote, educate, and build a community for students interested in the culture, heritage, and issues relating to Taiwanese/Taiwanese Americans. We pride ourselves on our family-oriented feel and the team mentality of our executive board. The best way to get involved or hear about our events is to be on our listserv; e-mail any executive board member if you want to be added to our listserv!

Thai Club

Thai Club is an organization comprised of Thai international students, Thai Americans, and anyone interested in Thai culture. Our activities include the famous Thai Night taken place in the spring (featuring classical dance, Thai sports, entertainment, good food, and more), SEA night and various cultural and social events throughout the year. Vertigo Productions

Vertigo Productions is self-supporting, not-for-profit student theatre company. Vertigo exists to allow students to have an opportunity to have their original scripts, and those adapted from pre-existing materials, realized into full fledged productions. Through producing student written theater, Vertigo hopes to be a creative and dynamic presence on campus, which encourages taking artistic risk.

WAVE Productions

Wave Productions is a self-supporting, not-for-profit student theatre company operating primarily on Northwestern University's Evanston Campus. Wave exists to share the stories of the past and present in order to open the door to a better future.
